Saturated Canary - sommer!

Nå er det herlig vær her! I går var det 33 grader i skyggen på terassen, nesten for varmt, hvert fall for valpen her i huset. Ser at farten er lavere og lekeøktene kortere på dagtid. Hun tar igjen det tapte ved sengetid, da er det kjøligere...

Har kost meg litt på hobbyrommet, scrappelysten kommer og går litt nå om dagen, det er vel på grunn av både valp og varme tenker jeg :)

Har laget et Easelkort med base av en Go Kreate-die. Brukt sommerlig motiv fra Saturated Canary, fargelagt med ProMarkers, og papirer fra Maja Design.

Fussy & Fancy #118

I think the heat got the better of me! I totally forgot to put my card in for publishing before we went on holiday! Not good...

And, I have to show off something else too... my new puppy!! She's 11 weeks old in this picture, taken a couple of weeks ago. She's the cutest and most charming little thing, and she brings so much joy to our lives. She's a little rascal too, like most youngsters are. She's got REALLY sharp teeth and every time we turn our back, she finds something to chew on that isn't one of her toys ;) And believe me, this princess has a lot of toys! Funny how my new shoes still is better to chew on... 

She's a mix between Red & White Irish Setter and Finnish Lapphund. 

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #100!!

Today it's time for the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #100! And the theme is a nice and easy one - celebration!

I've made a card for my daughters birthday, since her birthday is today! Imagine - 15 years since she was born. It doesn't seem that long ago... :o

I've coloured this beautiful Saturated Canary image with my ProMarkers and actually, my first set of Copics!!! The brown colours are copics, and my first attempt using them. I do think that Copics have some nice shades that ProMarkers doesn't have. I love the fact that they can be combined :) The pink is ProMarker, but I forgot to write down the colours.

The stamp is Saturated Canary - Nevaeh. She was actually the first SC rubberstamp I bought, and suddenly I realised I haven't even used her on a card yet! YIKES!

I coloured her with my ProMarkers. Papers are from Bildmalarna.

Mixed Media Gift Bag

I helga har jeg storkost meg, og laget en gavepose med mixed media for første gang. Jeg trenger helt klart mer øvelse, jeg var nok i overkant gjerrig med pynten. Men - det ble da en gavepose til min gode venninne!

I've had a blast this weekend, and I've made a giftbag with mixed media for the first time. I clearly need a lot more practise, I used embellishments too sparingly. But - it did become a giftbag for my good friend!

Min venninne er en skikkelig fargeklatt, og derfor måtte jeg bruke en del farge på gaveposen også. Den passer henne og hennes personlighet veldig godt!

My friend is a colourful person, and that's why I had to use a bit of colour on the giftbag also. It fits her and her personality really well!

Jeg har brukt gesso, gel medium, snømaling, modeling paste, glimmermist i forskjellige farger, hjemmelaget glimmermist og hvit lakk.

I've used gesso, gel medium, snow paint, modeling paint, glimmermist in various colours, homemade glimmermist and white laque.

Jeg er så svak for motivene fra Saturated Canary :) Jeg har fargelagt henne med ProMarkere

I'm in love with the motives from Satrated Canary :) I've coloured her with my ProMarkers.

Min venninne er svak for grønt og oransje. Jeg hadde bare Ranger - color wash i oransje, så jeg fylte en tom mini mister med litt av color wash og tilsatte Opalite. Og vips - oransje farge med glimmer. Den grønne fargen er hjemmelaget med distress ink - shabby shutters og litt weathered wood sammen med opalite.

My friend loves green and orange. I only had Ranger - color wash in orange, so I filled some of it on an empy mini-mister, and added Opalite to achieve an orange colour with glimmer. The green colour is homemade glimmermist made from distress inks - shabby shutters and weathered wood and opalite to create shimmer.

My card this time is a confirmationcard a colleague ordered, with the lovely papers from Maja Design  Vintage Spring Basics.

Stempelet er et digistempel fra Saturated Canary og hun heter Sabrina. Dyktige Krista lager de mest herlige stempler å fargelegge!

Jeg har brukt Fran-tage rundt kantene på både bilde og tekst. Blomstene fra WOC har jeg farget litt med ProMarker - Pastel blue og sprayet med hjemmelaget glimmermist av vann og Opalite. Pyntebær fra Magnolia og Kort og Godt. Shabby Seam binding og perlestreng fra Live and Love Crafts.

The  stamp is a digi from Saturated Canary and she's called Sabrina. The talented Krista draws the most wonderful images to colour!

I've used Fran-tage around the image and text. The flowers from WOC are coloured with my ProMarker - Pastel blue and sprayed with homemade glimmermist of water and Opalite. Berries from Magnolia and Kort og Godt. Shabby Seam Binding and pearl string from Live and Love Crafts.

Farger/Colours:

Skin: Coral - Sunkissed pink - Blush - Baby pink - Mulberry - Pink carnation. 

Hair: Tan - Champagne (F). 

Dress: Arctic blue - Pastel blue - Tan - March hare - Blender.

Innsiden. En lomme til penger, med konfirmantens navn og dato til venstre, og skrivefelt til høyre.

 Baksiden. Enkel som alltid, selv om det er første gang jeg overhodet ikke har brukt mønsterark på baksiden.

The back. Simple as always, although it's the first time I haven't used any designpapers on the back.

Her er mitt bidrag denne gangen. Jeg har laget et konfirmasjonskort til min datters venninne, og har brukt et av de nydelige digi-stemplene fra Saturated Canary. Jeg har funnet denne bretteteknikken i bloggland et sted for en stund siden.

Here's my card this forthnight. I've made a confirmation card for my daughters friend, using one of the beautiful digi-stamps from Saturated Canary. I've found this folding-technique somewhere in blogland a while ago.

Jeg har brukt halvperler og midt i sløyfen har jeg brukt en perle fra Live and Love Crafts. Blomster fra WOC og Kort og Godt. Pyntebær fra Magnolia. Hjertet er også fra LLC.

I've used halfpearls and in the center of the ribbon is a pearl from Live and Love Crafts. Flowers from WOC and Kort og Godt. Berries from Magnolia. The clay heart is also from LLC.

Saturated Canary

WooHoo! Easter-break! Just came home from work, and I have a week off! I hope I'll get some crafting done :)

Here's a card I made this week, using the Maja Design March Mood Board:

I used the beautiful Maja Design papers, and an image from Saturated Canary, coloured with distress inks.

Saturated Canary

I made a quick retreat to my hobbyroom yesterday and started on this card. I finished it up this morning, although I should have done some laundry or prepare for new years eve... :D

I've used this cutiepie from Saturated Canary (rubber stamp), and she's coloured with promarkers.

 I've used a flowerpunch, pearls and cheery lynn butterfly-dies. A magnolia die up in the left corner with the text "congrats". I coloured some seam binding ribbon with distress stain 'broken china' and curled it up until dry. I also used lace and white satin ribbon that I coloured with distress stain 'broken china'. I don't seem to be able to make a card without my beloved liquid pearls...

 The branches are chipboard from Dusty Attic, and I sprayed them with glimmermist 'tattered leather' and painted some crackle paint 'picket fence'on them. I gave the balloons a layer of glossy accents.

Saturated Canary Christmas

I've bought a few of the new Saturated Canary rubberstamps, and here's a christmascard I've made with one of them.

I've followed the sketch over at the Saturated Canary challenge blog, and made the card in traditional red and green colours.

 The pearlstring is homemade, I found a great tutorial on how to make them here, and it was a lot of fun. I think I'll be using these quite a bit on my cards in the future. Just need to practise how to make them some more :)

Saturated canary - fall

It's been sooo quiet here lately! Life's been busy and I haven't had nearly enough time to create as I would like to. But I have been creating, although I haven't updated my blog for a while. I have a few cards ready to be published here, and unfortunately I've made a few that I forgot to photograph before I gave them away. Oh well.

Today I have an autumn-inspired card. It's for my mothers birthday, and I have used one of the new Saturated Canary rubber stamps that came in the mail from Hjerteboden a while back.

I've used the gorgeous fall-themed papers from Maya design. The roses and swirly flowers (from Kort og godt) were white, and I've coloured them with my self-made glimmermist (water, distress re-inkers and perfect pearls). I found the tip on how to make your own glimmermist somewhere in blogland a while ago, and I have to say - it works perfectly!! And with using the perfect pearls, I get just enough glimmer-effect on them too. Added some liquid pearls, swirl from Magnolia, leaves from WOC (coloured them woth homemade glimmermist and distressed the edges).

I've spent the weekend moving in to my new hobbyroom! That was a LOT of work...! And I'm not finished yet, so pictures will have to wait a bit.

I had to test my new room, so I made this weddingcard which a colleague of mine have ordered.

I've bought a few of the Saturated Canary digistamps, I just love them! And this is the first one I use. She's pretty new too, released June 1.

Embellishments: 
Metal-flowers painted with gesso and crackle paint - picket fence. The swirls, butterflies inside the card and the fence are sprayed with goosebumps texture spray shimmer. Pearls and heart-ribbon from my stash. The pink ribbon are white seam-binding coloured with glimmermist - vintage pink. The metal butterfly and key are also painted with crackle paint - picket fence. Heart-pearl from WOC.
Edges are distressed with diestress ink - walnut stain. I did that on the flowers, butterfly and key too.
